Reclaiming Connection:
Trauma healing group through the power of Gestalt
Are you a caregiver feeling alone, numb and disconnected from life? Do you long to feel seen, heard and safe? Too many of us never truly heal from trauma, and trauma ends up controlling our lives. Traumatic events destroy the bonds between us and the rest of the world. We lose community and feel disconnected from the people we love. We walk around in a fog, hoping life will have some meaning but this never really materializes. Maybe you also know the person you want to be. Possibly resembling your pre-traumatized self, but who is that person now?
Those who have survived trauma and seen the other side learn that a brighter future is possible. It will require some effort and commitment, but it is possible to gain (or regain) a sense of self worth and connection to others.
The solidarity and community of joining this trauma recovery group provides a safe and strong protection against feelings of despair, anxiety and retraumatization. Trauma isolates; this group re-creates a sense of belonging. Trauma shames; in this group you will be seen, heard and affirmed. Trauma dehumanizes; this group restores your humanity and sense of place in the world.
Our group goals are to assist you in:
unburdening your heart to make room for igniting joy
becoming healthier
feeling more at peace
creating better relationships and connections
creating more stability as you move through the world
Who is this for:
caregivers who are caring for those who are disabled, mentally or physically
those who care for others when working on the front line in a hospital, in the military, as a firefighter or policeman
care nurses and medical personnel
parents of disabled children
children of elderly or disabled parents
What to expect:
This group will create a community of people who are committed to their trauma recovery. Sessions are weekly, in person (some may be virtual if necessary), and last an hour and a half in duration. This group will start in mid-September.

What is Gestalt?
The process of Gestalt, which means flowing into formation and wholeness, is an experiential process that is deeply tied to somatics (body response). My method sees the individual as a whole person, with the answers already inside themselves, waiting to be brought into awareness. This holistic approach allows for complete release of energy and emotional blocks or pain. Almost all clients of this principle experience lasting changes in their lives and responses to others.
“Heather’s sensitivity and intuition guides the client into deep and insightful work. She is all compassion and kindness, and our session let to deep healing. I will never forget my coaching experience with Heather.”
